15 Hours Funded Childcare

Eligible parents can access 15 hours of funded childcare per week for children in the following age groups:

• 9 months – 2 years old (Effective from 01/09/24) – Available for eligible working parents.
• 2-3 years old – Available for families that meet certain criteria based on income or benefits.
• 3-4 years old – All children in this age group are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare, regardless of parental income.

This funding is available during term time or spread across the year, depending on the nursery’s schedule.

30 Hours Funded Childcare

For working parents, the government provides 30 hours of funded childcare per week for 3-4-year-olds. This scheme helps reduce childcare costs while ensuring children receive quality early education.

Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-Free Childcare is a government initiative designed to help working parents with childcare costs. Under this scheme, for every £8 contributed by parents, the government adds £2, up to £2,000 per year per child (or £4,000 per year for children with disabilities).
